Cookie Policy
Here's how we handle your cookies
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this website, what they are for, and the choice you have. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Nothing in the second group below is used unless you click Accept.
Essential cookies (always active)
These make the site work and cannot be switched off.
- Login session (cookies beginning
sb-, managed by Supabase): keep you signed in. They last until you sign out or your session expires. - cookie_consent: remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again. Lasts 1 year.
- punchout_sid: only for business buyers ordering through their company's procurement system (PunchOut). Lasts for that ordering session.
- Google reCAPTCHA: protects our forms against spam and abuse. Google may set its own cookies for this, covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
If you shop without an account, your cart is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and is not shared with anyone.
Analytics and advertising cookies (only if you accept)
- Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*): tells us how many people visit and which pages they use, so we can improve the site. Lasts up to 2 years. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode that stores nothing on your device. - product_view_session: counts product views without counting the same visitor twice. Lasts 30 days.
- Meta Pixel (
_fbp,_fbc, set by Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram): tells Meta whether a visit came from one of our ads and what happened next, such as viewing a product, adding to cart, placing an order or sending an enquiry. We use this to measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested. Lasts up to 90 days.
Information we send to Meta
If you accept, our server also sends Meta a record when you place an order, request a quote, send an enquiry, register, or apply for a business account. This uses Meta's Conversions API. The record includes:
- the action and, for orders, the order value and the products bought;
- your IP address and browser type;
- the Meta cookie identifiers above;
- your email address and phone number in hashed form, meaning converted into an irreversible code. Meta can only use the code to match the action to an existing Meta account, not to read your details.
For orders, we keep your IP address, browser type and Meta identifiers with the order so the record can be sent once payment is confirmed. If you choose Essential only, none of this is collected or sent. Meta's use of this information is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete this site's cookies in your browser settings, and manage how Meta shows you ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.
